10 THINGS TO KNOW
1. Arrive early if you can!
We highly recommend flying into San José at least one day early. We’ve had guests miss an entire day of the retreat due to flight delays or missed connections, and we really don’t want that for you. It also helps ease jet lag! If you miss the group shuttle, a private taxi can cost $200+ one-way, so arriving early is your best bet.
2. Transportation is provided - but it’s a trek.
Our retreat center is located about a 4-5 hour drive from San José. We’ll arrange a group shuttle for all attendees, with a bathroom and snack stop along the way. It’s a long journey, but a beautiful one - and totally worth it once you arrive!!
3. Expect to explore beyond the retreat space.
We’ll be heading off-site for waterfall adventures, beach time, and other excursions. Be ready to move and explore! There will also be plenty of time to rest too.
4. Physical movement is part of the magic.
There will be hikes, walks, and time in nature. You don’t need to be an athlete, but you should feel comfortable navigating uneven terrain, outdoor environments, and potentially steep hills.
5. It’s hot - pack accordingly.
Costa Rica is hot, especially near the coast. Bring lightweight clothing, reef-safe sunscreen, aloe, a sun hat, and a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated and protected.
6. All meals are vegetarian and delicious.
You’ll enjoy plant-based, nourishing meals made with love. No meat is served at the retreat, but eggs and other protein-rich options (like beans) will be available to keep you feeling strong and satisfied. Feel free to bring your own protein powder if you need!
7. Massages are available on-site.
You can book a massage during the retreat for around $100 USD. Payments are made directly on-site.
8. Some rooms have A/C, some don’t - and that’s okay.
Check your room description! If your room doesn’t have air conditioning, just open the windows and enjoy the natural breeze.
9. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
You’ll have access to Wi-Fi in all common areas and rooms, so you can stay connected if needed - though we encourage you to unplug and be present whenever you can.
10. Alcohol
This is a non-alcoholic retreat as we’ll be doing deep work, embodiment, and energy healing throughout the week.
